About the data storyteller:
Larry Birnbaum is a Co-Founder of Narrative Science and serves as the company’s Chief Scientific Advisor. He focuses on next-generation architecture, advanced applications and IP. In addition, Larry is Professor of Computer Science and of Journalism at Northwestern University, where he also serves as Head of the Computer Science Division. Larry’s research focuses on applied AI, including social media data analytics and preference prediction, contextual search and natural language processing with special emphasis on automatic content generation. He received his BS and PhD from Yale, and was on the faculty there before joining Northwestern.
