Blog Spring Flowers Bring a Quill for Tableau Release

We’ve released a few features to make your stories more insightful and look [even] better. Check out what’s new this May –>

Give viewers the flexibility of story verbosity

Verbosity changes the length and analytical detail of your story. Previously, the story builder controlled the verbosity settings, but now you can enable viewers to change the verbosity they see in the ‘language’ settings.

Increase your dashboard’s screen real estate

Remove any additional white space or extra headers in your story by condensing the view in the ‘display’ settings.

New function for directional change

The new direction() custom function determines the difference between the two provided dimension values, then returns a word or phrase to describe the directional change, e.g. ‘increase/decrease’ or an up/down arrow.
